Charles and Eva of African Embroidered Heirlooms

Hi all you Embroidery Enthusiasts

We have been through an eventful period the last number of months.   In May-June we were on holiday for seven and a half weeks, we are very keen caravaners so the laptop is always taken along.  Charles maintains that on holiday his creative juices tend to flow.  The result,  many new designs and as we discovered the very popular Quad designs.

After a relaxing holiday the work started in earnest.  We were having our second South African Machine Embroidery Conference and all these new designs had to be sewn out.

This included;
  • Our new 2005 Embroidery Collection.
  • Quad designs which enable you to sew larger integral designs than ever before.
  • Finally our youngest daughter Carol joined our team under the name C Touch Embroidery.  She is adding her touch to African Embroidered Heirlooms.

The 2005 collection include a multitude of designs which suit the smaller machines with the 4x4 hoop up to the super designs for the larger industrial machines with hoops of 12x7 or more.
We are offering a range of designs which can only be termed Painting with Thread, this include birds, wild animals, portraits, cats and dogs .....

  • Have you ever wished that when you purchased your embroidery machine whether you should have selected one with a larger hoop ?
  • Ever wished if your favourite design would be just that little bit more impressive than the largest size you are now able to embroider?
  • Well now is the time to find out.
The small design has 7000 stitches while the Quad design has 16400 stitches.

Finally Carol is adding ideas and designs which are different from ours, her designs will open up new opportunities for the embroidery enthusiast.

Charles has also started with a new website.  He felt that the old website was too full.  The site is on line already, he has decided to add a new section every month.

Right now the flavour of the month is weddings.  October -  Jan are popular months for weddings in SA.  We embroidered our first wedding dress last year, now Charles has just finished the designing and layout of designs on two wedding dresses which will soon be finished .

We wish you all a Blessed Christmas and a Prosperous and enjoyable New Year.

We hope you have many happy hours digitizing and embroidering.
